Happy Birthday!!

This is my FAVORITE picture of mom ever! Look at the pure joy on her face!

Today I went with dad to buy mom her birthday present! Yep, a motor bike. My mama's a biker chick! She is the coolest! We surprised mom with a birthday party and her new toy and I think she loves it. I have to admit that I am now hooked. I WANT ONE TOO!! Too bad I have to wait until my kids grow up a little more so I can leave them home alone while I ride my bike to the store. Oh what happy time they will be. Until then, I just might have to go visit mom and take hers out for a joy ride! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! YOU ROCK!

What would my poor blog do without my girls to keep it updated?! Can you believe I actually got a motor scooter for my birthday? Won't the high school kids get a kick out of this old lady pulling up in the teacher's parking lot on this cute little scooter? All I need now is a helmet! No one tell Grandma and Grandpa Sumner about this. They will literally lay awake at night worrying about me! Even when I promise to take all the neighborhood streets to the high school and to the grocery store they will worry. Trust me--I will not be in traffic! It needs a new paint job because some maucho man (friend of the previous owner) thought he could pull into his driveway on a curve going full throttle. Evidently he found out that the brakes are there for a reason. It has a few scratches but I still think she is just lovely. Can you picture her in bright yellow? I think she may be easier to see on the road with a "stand-out color". Listen to me---giving my little scooter a gender! Any suggestions for a name? (Just kidding!)

I think it needs to be Bright pink! Every girl would envy you! Paul says that yellow is a midlife crisis color! :)
It definity needs a name! How cool are you! Won't the HS kids steal it???

I had the same worry Cammie so I scoped out the teacher's parking lot and there are lots of trees I can chain it up to. I think I'll hold off on the paint job until I pay the dentist the million dollars I owe him. Maybe by then dad will have insisted on buying his own scooter and I can truly paint it any color I want. Hey girls, come to Florida and you can take it for as long a spin as you like! (Is that English---maybe just a very awkward sentence--oh well)
